The Uelzen Municipal Utilities working with Formware for over ten years – today part of neeyo Group – together. The cooperation began with the implementation of the year-end billing production.
Data exported from the ERP was professionally laid out and produced by Formware. The broad utilities catalog - electricity, gas, water and wastewater - was particularly challenging.
Over time, reminders, price information and other documents were added. At the same time, the existing billing system reached its limits: especially in terms of layout freedom and a comprehensible presentation for end customers.
Goal: Invoices that are immediately understandable
Stadtwerke wanted bills that customers could understand intuitively - clearly structured, easy to interpret and visually comprehensible.
Standard ERP invoices do not meet these requirements. They are functional, but often confusing for customers and difficult to consume.
That's why it was needed:

Joint implementation as a basis for a modern accounting process
After a joint analysis phase, Stadtwerke Uelzen decided to implement their document processes using the solution Connext Cube by neeyo to change.
Over the course of about a year, all relevant documents were jointly implemented, tested, and optimized. In parallel, employees were trained.
In total, over 15 document types were implemented, including year-end invoices, payment reminders, price adjustments, welcome letters, and campaign mailings.
The biggest challenge was designing clear, easily digestible invoices. Together, a layout was developed that simplified complex documents
- visually structured,
- logically structured,
- and makes elements that require explanation understandable.
This high design standard initially required a bit more time, but has paid off enormously in the long run.
Today, around 15 employees work with the solution daily in the customer center.
